Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie Divorcing and Brat has not seen his kids

It's been one week since Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from Brad Pitt, and news of the couple's split has only continued to raise more questions.

Many have wondered how finances will play into the power couple's highly-publicized divorce, but E! News can confirm money is not the issue at this time.

Rather, the two will continue to battle over custody of their six children, Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne. Jolie has asked for full custody of the kids while the Department of Children and Family Services in Los Angeles County continues conducting an inquiry into the allegations that Pitt was involved in an incident with a child aboard a private plane earlier this month.

In fact, we're told the 52-year-old hasn't seen his children since Jolie filed for divorce—something he hopes will change soon.

"He really wants to see the kids and to work out an arrangement that is best for them," the insider tells us of Brad's biggest concern at the moment. "[He] wants to work things out privately and amicably."

Meanwhile, reps for the actors have not commented on the reports regarding the incident on the plane, but a source close to the investigation told E! News he "takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children."

Similarly, another insider noted that Pitt is "is cooperating fully." The source added, "He will continue to do what's in the best interest of the children...[He] is most concerned about his children and the best thing for them is to keep the situation private."

We also learned that the 41-year-old actress doesn't intend for the custody situation to remain permanent. We're told she only believes it's what's necessary right now. Jolie knows she and Pitt will eventually need to co-parent together in the future.
Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt on Monday, Sept. 19, according to court documents obtained by E! News, with news of their split hitting headlines and shocking the world on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

The actress' manager, Geyer Kosinski, released a statement on her behalf, saying, "Angelina will always do what's in the best interest of taking care of her family. She appreciates everyone's understanding of their need for privacy at this time."

Brad also broke his silence about the divorce in statement, saying, "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
